“Mrs. Cassie C. Morris, 76, of Greensboro RD 1, formerly of Holbrook, died Friday evening, Jan. 8, 1969 at 8:40 in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Although she was not in the best of health her death was unexpected.
She was born Oct. 2, 1883, the daughter of Abraham and Laura Adams Stahl, both deceased. Most of her life was spent in Greene County. She was a member of the Bristoria Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband W. Caldwell Morris, whom she married in 1909, she is survived by sons, Barney of Hadley, Doris of Washington, Carl of Portsville, N.Y., Lawrence of Piney Fork, Ohio, Samuel of Buffalo, N.Y., and William of Bebolt, Ohio; daughters, Mrs. Lloyd “Margaret” Jacobs of Cameron, W. Va., Mrs. Burns “Goldie” Wise of Greensboro, Mrs. Carl “Sylvia” Thomas of Holbrook; 51 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, William Stahl of Pomma, Cal., and Samuel Stahl of Allenport, Pa., and one sister, Mrs. Rose Fields of perryopolis, also survive. Three sisters and two brothers are deceased.”493
