“Goldie Thelma Wise
Member of Greensboro Baptist Church
Goldie Thelma Wise, 85, of Greensboro, died Thursday, August 25, 2005, in her home.
She was born November 25, 1919, in Delphene, a daughter of William Caldwell Morris and Cassie Stahl Morris.
She was a former member of Dunkard Grange, Davistown, and Rebekah Lodge in Taylortown.
She was a member of Greensboro Baptist Church.
On April 6, 1940, she married Burns Wise, who died in 1992.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruby Casseday and husband Blaine and Alice Sarapa and husband Gary, both of Greensboro; two sons, David Wise Sr. and wife Karen of Greensboro and William Wise and wife Jeanette of Carmichaels; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-great-grandchildren; a sister, Sylvia Carter of Waynesburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Sylvia Loueva Wise; a grandchild, Candy Wise; two great-grandchildren; eight brothers; and a sister.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 1 p.m., the time of services, Sunday, August 28, in Paul Michael Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Paul Michael Lesako, funeral director/supervisor, with the Rev. Donald Gillenwater officiating. Interment will be in Garards Fort Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greene County Humane Society, Flenniken Memorial Library in Carmichaels or hospice.”
