Obituary:
“Elizabeth Grim Chaney, 82, of New Freeport, R.D. 1, died unexpectedly at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 16, 1965, at her home.
She was born September 2, 1882, in Jackson Township to the late John H. and Harriet Fonner Grim. She was married June 6, 1918, to J. E. Chaney, who survives.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Goldie) Geho of New Freeport, Mrs. Lucy Rush and Mrs. Nettie Patterson, both of Waynesburg, and two brothers, George Grim of LaHabra, California and Walter Grim of New Freeport, R.D. 1.
Two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Horrell and Alma Rush; two sons, John Franklin and Ervin Marcus; a sister, Mrs. Effie Yates and a brother, Charlie Grim are all deceased.
In her early life, she was a member of the Waynesburg Christian Church but in later life joined the Bethany Methodist Church.”500
“Friends of Elizabeth Grim Chaney of New Freeport who died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1966, are being received after 7 PM Wed. in the Robert L. Lantz Funeral Home, Rogersville, where services will be held at 1 PM Friday with Rev. Joseph Bailey in charge. Burial in Betheny Cemetery.”
