Harriet Fonner Grim, 82, widow of the late John H. Grim, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. E. Chaney of New Freeport early Friday morning, March 31, 1944 at 3:15 o’clock. She ahd been an invalid for the past eight years and was taken seriously ill two weeks ago.

She was born May 28, 1861 at Aleppo, the daughter of the late George and Lucinda Layton Fonner. Her husband John H. Grim preceded her in death in 1940.

She spent her entire life near New Freeport, and was a member of the Laurel Run methodist Church.

Surviving are the following children: George P. Grim, La Habra, Calif., Mrs. j. E. Chaney, Mrs. Charles Geho, and Walter Grim all of New Freeport; Mrs. T. R. Rush, Waynesburg R.D.5., Mrs. A. L. Patterson, Waynesburg, Charles Grim, Cabot, Pa. and one other daughter Mrs. Effie Yates, deceased. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchilcren.976
