Allum was attending Bellefonte Academy when his grandfather, James Parker Allum, died in 1917.
965Allum was a 32nd degree Mason by the age of 21. He was the youngest to ever receive that honor in the state of Pennsylvania.
1632Obituary:
“Allum Grim, 66, of 214 Indianola Road, Indiana Township, Pa., died Friday, Dec. 7, 1962, at his residence after an illness of two years. Born August 20, 1896, at Waynesburg, the son of Sherman and Ann Grim, he was a retired security for Republic Steel Corp. Mr. Grim, a member of the Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg, is survived by his widow, Elsie Grim; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Schoen in Germany; and three sons, James B. of San Antonio, Texas, Joseph C. of Verona, and Thomas of Cleveland, Ohio. The deceased was the gradfather of Cecelia of Indianola. There are nine other grandchildren who survive.”
