“Leota "Cookie" Locke
Leota "Cookie" Locke, 65, of St. Marys, W.Va., died Nov. 15, 2007, at the Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.
She was born May 19, 1942, in Pleasants County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Paul and Wilma Higgins Davis. She was a member of the St. Marys Church of the Nazarene and a 1961 graduate of St. Marys High School. She had babysat for numerous children. Her hobbies included cooking and sewing.
She is survived by a son, George Wayne Locke II and his wife, Sheryl; a grandson, Austin Mitchell Locke; a granddaughter, Chloe Louise Locke, all of Waverly, W.Va.; two sisters, Karen Hall and her husband, Rockie, and Wilma Colvin and her husband, Tom, all of St. Marys; two brothers, Delmas Davis and his wife, Karen, and James C. Davis, all of St. Marys; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Wayne Locke Sr.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday and from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastors Vaughn Davis and Chuck Rogers officiating. Interment will be in the St. Marys IOOF Cemetery.
