“Eleanor J. (Acklin) Ehlers
Eleanor J. (Acklin) Ehlers, age 82, of West Brownsville, Pennsylvania died Saturday, January 8, 2011 in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Born Thursday, September 13, 1928 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania she was the Daughter of Wilbur Acklin and Rose Dzurik Acklin.
She was a Life Member of The Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville and a member of The Confraternity of Christian Mothers and the Church Choir.
She was also a member of the American Legion Post 940 Ladies Auxiliary in West Brownsville, Pennsylvania.
Surviving are three Daughters: Christine Lenk and husband Richard, Catherine Ehlers Brown and husband Ralph all of West Brownsville and Cynthia Ehlers of York, Pennsylvania; one Grandson, Richard Lenk and Crystal Pellick and family; and one Granddaughter, Crista Lenk Stathers and husband John.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; a Son, Richard Ehlers; two Brothers, Wilbur Acklin and Robert Acklin; and a Sister, Margaret Sawyers.
Friends will be received today from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home Inc., 334 Main Street, Fayette City, PA 15438 (734.326.5621)

Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in The Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville with Reverend Mather Micah E. Kozoil as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery, Brownsville, Pennsylvania.”
