“Mrs. Rose Acklin
Mrs. Rose Cecilia Ackliln, 47, lifelong resident of Brownsville, died at 9:55 a.m. Thursday in Brownsville General Hospital. She was born June 1, 1910, a daughter of Sophia and the late Charles Dzurik.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Wilbur Acklin; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Eleanor) Ehlers of West Brownsville and Mrs. Clarence (Margaret) Sawyer of New Castle; two sons, Wilbur C. Jr. of Brownsville and Robert A. of Layton; 10 grandchildren, six sisters and three brothers.
A prayer service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Kisinger funeral home of Brownsville, followed by requiem high mass at 9 a.m. in St. Mary’s R. C. Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.”
