“Gail Grim, aged 22, son of Mr. and Mr. J.W. Grim of Creston, a laborer in the stone quarry there getting out stone for the base of the State road between Creston and Grantsville, was crushed under a heavy stone at the quarry just before Noon Thursday. He was rushed to a hospital in Parkersburg but died soon after his arrival there.

Young Grim is survived by his wife, Bethel Hopkins Grim, a bride of about a month, his father and mother and several brothers and sisters. The funeral was held from the M.E. Church, South, at Creston, Sunday afternoon with the Pastor W.H. Beal officiating. Interment was in the DePue Cemetery with funeral director W.M. Pomroy in charge.”
