“Mrs. Mamie E. Grim, 85, died at 11:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, at the home of her son, W. Gladson Grim, Rt. 2, Elizabeth, with whom she had made her home for the past several months. She was a resident for most of her life in the Creston community.

Born in Noble County, Ohio, May 10, 1882, she was a daughter of the late Brady and Margaret Spence King. She was a member of the Creston Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, the Rev. Thomas B. Grim, recent resident of Erie, Pa., and who had resided at Belpre, Ohio, since late last year, Edward T. Grim of Erie, Pa., and W. Gladson Grim, Rt. 3, Elizabeth, acting director of the Wirt County Community Action Association, Inc., the past few months; 17 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Grim, who died in 1958, one son, Gail Grim, who died in 1931, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Creston Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Higgins officiating. Burial was in the DePue Cemetery at Creston. Pomroy Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.”
