Obituary:
1641“John William Grim, 77, of Creston died Sunday Dec. 21, at the home of a son in Erie, Pennsylvania. He was born at Creston Dec. 24, 1880, son of the late Sam and Mary Richards Grim, and was a member of the Creston Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mamie King Grim; three sons, Thomas and Edward, both of Erie, Pa., and Gladson Grim, of Greston; one brother, C. C. Grim of Warren, Ohio, a half-brother, Frank Shriner, of Goodyear, Ariz.; and 13 grandchildren. besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ora Mae; and a son, Gayle Grim, in 1931.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 24, at the Creston Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Higgins officiating. Burial was in the DePue Cemetery at Creston. Pomroy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.”
