Obituary, Beaver County (PA) Times, May 21, 1978:
“Harvey F. Grimm, 61, was dead on arrival at the Beaver Falls Unit of the Medical Center of Beaver County, Friday, May 19, 1978, following an aparent heart attack.
Born Aug. 22, 1916 in Freedom, son of the late Harvey Ellsworth and Mary Helen Bearden [sic] Grimm, he was a lifelong resident of the upper valley, employed as a coke residue operator for St. Joe Zinc Corp., Potter Township, 30 years, and a member of the American Legion Post, and COmpany B, both of New Brighton.
Surviving are his widow, Katherine Grimm; two sons, Bob Grimm, Ravenna, Ohio, and Jack Grimm, Center Township; two daughters, Mrs. James (Pat) Elia, Beaver, and Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Hostetter, Cleveland, Ohio; a stepson, Glenn Glass, Unionville; 11 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. James (Madeline) McCutcheon and Mrs. Earl (Mert) Wright, both of New Brighton. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Emerick and Annabelle Painter.
Friends are being received all day today and Monday until time of service at 11 a.m. in Campbell’s New Brighton, 1133 Penn Ave. Rev. James Higgins, pastor of Oak Grove Lutheran CHurch will officiate.
Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.”
