“Katherine L. Grimm, 80, of New Brighton, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born May 16, 1929, in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Admiral Dewey and Myra (Lindsay) Glass. She was a homemaker and Protestant by faith. She was a former volunteer with the PA Association for the Blind, in Beaver Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey F. Grimm, in 1978; one sister, Helen Shaffer, and two brothers, Walter and Herbert "Bud" Glass.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn R. and Janice L. Glass, New Sewickley Township; two step-sons, Harry "Bob" and Jack Grimm; two step-daughters, Patricia Elia and Barbara Hostetter; one granddaughter, Kaley Boots and her husband Jonathan, New Brighton; one grandson, Dr. Jason L. Glass and his wife Pamela, Lincolnton, NC; three great-great grandsons, Brendan and Caleb Glass, Lincolnton, NC, and Landon Boots, New Brighton; one great-great granddaughter, Emma Glass, Lincolnton, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, where a service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Greg Cox, Pastor of the College Hill United Methodist Church.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.”
