“Smith, Mary Yankavitch R, 73 of Virginia Park, Wheeling died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000 in Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center Wheeling.
She was a former employee of the Foodland and Local 590 Wheeling and a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Wheeling.
She was proceded in death by her husband, John E. Smith in 1977; her parents Frank and Matilda Pilsudski Yankavitch.
Surviving are a son David L. Smith and his fiancee, Rose Bennington of Wheeling; two brothers Joseph Yankavitch and his wife Mary; Frank Yankavitch and his wife Stella, all of Warwood; Three sisters Pauline Graeb of Beech Bottom, Helen Mocyunas of Wheeling and Ida Fodor of Elkins, WV; two brothers-in law, Francis Bosold and Charles Gregory; a grandson, David Lee Smith Jr.; three great grand daughters, Anmanda, Melinda, and Perricellia; 13 nieces and six nephews.
There will be no visitation. Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Altmeyer Funeral Home 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove.
