“Thelma Gladys Whitlatch Burdette Grim, 88, of Elizabeth, WV died June 23, 2003 at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born December 14, 1914 in Wood County a daughter of the late Allison and Ethel Mae Headly Whitlatch.

She was a homemaker all her life, worked at Greiner's Bakery for eighteen years and in housekeeping until her retirement. She volunteered at Kiddie City Day Care and attended Jesus Revival Center in Elizabeth.

She is survived by two daughters Roxie Jobes of Parkesburg, Molly Powell of Elizabeth; step daughter Carmen Queen; three step sons Bob, Vance and Harold Grim and over 160 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Lovie Burdette, second husband Telvie Tyree, third husband Reverend Thomas B. Grim, son Virgil Burdette, daughter Ethel Monroe, and three brothers James, Carl and Billy Whitlatch.

Services will be Thursday 1:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor William M. Cottrell.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Wednesday 2-9 pm at the funeral home.”
