Mr. G. W. “George” Hayes

Bossier City, LA — Services for Mr. G.W. “George” Hayes, age 76, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 1996 in Rose-Neath’s Minden Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Austin Smith, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church and assisted by Rev. Alton Hortman, pastor of Sibley United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Lane Cemetery in Sibley, La. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 1996 at the funeral home.

Mr. Hayes passed away Friday, December 13, 1996 at Bossier Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Waldo, AR and a retired M/Sgt. in U.S. Air Force. Mr. Hayes was a member of Sibley United Methodist Church, the Mackey Lodge #LA 0122, Shriner and El Karubah Temple. He served in England in WW II, Berlin Airlift and was seriously wounded in the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin J. Hayes.

Mr. Hayes is survived by his wife, Jane C. Hayes of Bossier City, LA; one step-son, John Fahey of Salem, Oregon; one sister, Martha K. Lowe of Florida and one brother, Kenneth Hayes of Houston, TX.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Turakhia, Dr. McCoy, Dr. Garavaglia, Dr. Kaskas, Dr. Lowe, Dr. Webb, Dr. Patton and Dr. Lim and the staff at Bossier Medical Center and the Bossier Dialysis Center for their caring service.
