Lucille I. Horner, 90, of Pennsboro, departed this life Friday, May 30 , 2008, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 11, 1917, near Hebron in Pleasants County, a daughter of the late Allen S. and Emma C. Jones McCullough. Lucille worked in the garment industry for 25 years at the former Myles Manufacturing of Pennsboro as a machine operator. She and her late husband had a passion for traveling and camping throughout the United States. Lucille was a faithful member of the Pennsboro Church of Christ.
She is survived by daughter, Rowena Fern (Francis) Sellers of Pennsboro; sons, Larry (Betty) Horner and Frank (Sara Jane) Horner Jr., both of Pennsboro; grandchildren, Sondra Griffith, Larry Horner Jr., Loren Sellers, Francis “Bud” Sellers, Mindy Davis, Ina Jenkins, Frank Horner III and Ross Cox; 12 great-grandchildren; step grandson, Trenton Gainer; three step great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Horner Sr.; brothers, Alva, Lawrence, Floyd and Kenneth McCullough; sisters, Vesta McCullough, Amy Leonard, Edna Smith and two infant sisters; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Pennsboro Church of Christ with Evangelist Andy Robison and Evangelist Terry Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Finch, W.Va. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
