Cheryl Lynn Horner, 43, of Pennsboro, WV, departed this life on Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Ellenboro, WV, as a result of an automobile accident.
Cheryl was born February 24, 1970, in Cuyahoga County, OH, a daughter of Charley and Anna Jane (Jaggers) Swadley of Harrisville. Cheryl spent her life as a loving homemaker for her husband and daughter. She also served as a caring volunteer for the Ritchie County Community most notably with Creed Collins Elementary School and with the American Red Cross. She also served as a 19 year member of the Pennsboro Fire Dept. & Ladies Auxiliary and was a graduate of Ritchie County High School with the class of 1988. Cheryl loved spending time with her family & friends and greatly enjoyed being at the family hunting camp and attending dirt track as a family.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Larry Horner, Jr.; twin sister, Cherry Bishop (Mike), Harrisville, WV; brother, Charles "Chuck" Swadley (Kylia), Pennsboro, WV; sister in law, Sondra (Kenny) Griffith, Pennsboro, WV; father & mother in-law, Larry & Betty Horner, Sr., Pennsboro, WV, and nieces & nephews, Hunter, Allyson, Tara, Levi, Dana, & Brian.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her daughter, Makayla Danielle Horner who passed away as a result of the same automobile accident.
Funeral services will be 11am, Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Ritchie County High School Auditorium with Rev. Jim Pyles officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8pm, on Wednesday, at Ritchie County High School. McCullough-Raiguel Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
