Sara immigrated in 1870 from Ireland. She was listed in the 1900 and 1910 Census with son Edward.134

A 1904 city directory lists “Acklin, Sarah, widow, Water St., Brownsville with Edward (miner).”130

Alonzo Acklin must have married twice if Sara Beatty immigrated in 1870, because Alonzo is listed in the 1870 census with a wife, Sarah, and 2 children.

Dearth Funeral Home record, New Salem, PA for John H. Acklin names parents as Alonzo Acklin and Sarah Beatty.130

Sarah’s parents were not known on her death certificate. She was widowed at the time of her death.2R

Redstone Cemetery listing: Sarah Acklin, died 27 March 1918, adult, buried in border grave #238, Kisinger and Luce Undertakers.”130

The 1900 census shows Sara to have 5 children, 3 surviving. I have only found 4 children.
