“Mary E. Staggers
Former Richhill Township resident
“Mary E. Staggers, 95, of Bellmead Apartments, Washington, died Thursday, August 29, 2002, inher home.
She was born October 44, 1906, in Graysville, a daughter of Joseph and Emma Parry McCracken.
Mrs. Staggers was a 1928 graduate of Richhill Township High School.
On July 27, 1929, she married J. harry Staggers, who died January 13, 1971.
Mrs. Staggers was a former resident of Richhill Township, where she was a member of Wind Ridge Christian Church.
She resided in Washington County the past 30 years.
Mrs. Staggers enjoyed quilting and was a member of the sewing club at Old Concord.
She enjoyed traveling with her family.
Surviving are four daughters, Imogene Fletcher and Evelyn Welling, both of Ravenna, Ohio, Bertha Scherich of Prosperity and Doris Grim of Washington; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Josephy Staggers; four sisters, Lottie Shadle, Anna Thoomas, Katherine Leach and Mae Marsh; and five brothers, John, Josephy, Cecil, Murray and Roger McCracken.
Services will be private and are under the direction of Behm Funeral Homes Inc., Waynesburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.”133
