Former Resident Dies
Mrs. Maggie C. Cooper, 71, widow of the late J. C. Cooper, died at the home of her son, Reese Cooper, in Washington, D. C., at 2:30 o’clock Monday morning from a heart attack.
The Cooper family formerly resided on their farm on the river road north of McConnelsville, but after the death of Mr. Cooper, Dec. 20, 1935, Mrs. Cooper left the farm.
Surviving are five sons, Reese, Washington, D. C.; Blaine, Columbus; Floyd, South Bend, Ind.; Wilbur, Pittsburgh, and Raymond Cooper, Fremont, O. Two sons, Alva and Jesse, are deceased.
The body will arrive in Zanesville about noon Tuesday and will be brought to the Fisher funeral home in McConnelsville to rest until the funeral service, which will be held at the McConnelsville M. E. church at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. G. L. Tennel officiating. Burial will be in McConnelsville cemetery.
