Obituary:
“Everett F. (Abe) Staggers, 85, of Holbrook RD 1, died at his home, Wednesday, September 13, 1989, of an apparent heart attack.
He wa born April 27, 1904, in Graysville, a son of Peter and Bertha Courtwright Staggers.
His wife, Sarah E. Wood Staggers, died November 30, 1980.
Mr. Staggers was employed for more than 40 years by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, retiring as a foreman. He was a member of South Wheeling Baptist Church and had attended Willow Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Evelyn S. Stewart of Waynesburg, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers, Elmer, Harry and Lemoyne Staggers, and five sisters, Jessie Tilton, Edyth Smith, Cora Fonner, Elizabeth Behm and Grace Courtwright. (Fairview Cem.)”1506
