“Sarah I. Staggers, 70, of Waynesburg, RD 5, was pronounced dead on arrival at Greene County Memorial Hospital at 2:10 P.M. Sunday, November 30, 1980. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
She was born October 18, 1910, in Center Township, a daughter of Joshua and Lucy Rush Wood.
She spent most of her life in Center Township and was a member of the Long Run Church of God.
On November 17, 1928, she married Everett Staggers who survives along with a sister, Mrs. Elvin (Georgia) Wise of McClellandtown and a brother, Russell Wood of Stockton.
A brother, Harry Wood, is deceased.”441
