Irene O. Staggers
Loved to bake pies and bread
Irene O. “Sis” Staggers, 98, of Cameron, W.Va., died Thursday, August 2, 2012, in Cameron Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born February 19, 1914, daughter of the late Bentley and Pearl Morris Cunningham.
Mrs. Staggers was a member of Cameron Baptist Church.
She was a “Susie Homemaker” who loved to bake, especially pies and bread.
In addition to her parents, deceased are her husband, Elmer Staggers; three brothers, Theodore, William and Everette Cunningham; and three sisters, Audrey Schultz, Mary Black and Myrtle Cox.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, August 6, in Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, W.Va.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Greene County.
