“Howard E. Staggers
Howard E. Staggers, age 89, of Waynesburg, Pa., died Friday, December 26, 2003 at 7:10 a.m. in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown, Pa.
He was born October 2, 1914 in holbrook, Greene County, Pa., son of George W. Staggers and Zella Kerr Staggers.
Mr. Staggers was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg where he was a former Trustee and had served on the Administrative Board of the Church.
He was a Veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army in the European Theatre of Operation.
For 39 years he worked as a Mechanic for Fox Ford in Waynesburg.
He also repaired Lawn Mowers for Waynesburg Service Star for several years.
His wife, Aliff Connor Staggers, died May 28, 1979. Also deceased are one daughter, Judy Staggers Boger, one Sister, Gertrude Staggers Dukate, and his parents.
Howard was the last of his immediate family.
Surviving are one Daughter, Trudy E. Staggers of Waynesburg, Pa.; two Sons, Loren H. Staggers of Waynesburg, Pa., and Larry Staggers of Amity, Pa.; and two Grandchildren: Shelby Staggers and Breanna Staggers.
Friends will be received at the MILLIKEN AND THROCKMORTON FUNERAL HOMES INC., 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370 today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, December 29, until 2 p.m., the hour of the Service with the Rev. Gary Schneider officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Richhill Township, Greene County, Pa.
