Obituary:
“Waynesburg - Aliff Connor Staggers, age 51, of RD 3, Waynesburg, died 3 p.m., May 28, 1979, at Greene County Memorial Hospital. Although she was not in the best of health, death was unexpected.
She was born August 19, 1927, in Waynesburg, the daughter of Mrs. Pearl Chaney Connor of Waynesburg, who survives and the late Alred Connor
She spent most of her early life in New Freeport. She spent the last 30 years of her life in the Waynesburg Community. Mrs. Staggers was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church and a 1946 graduate of Waynesburg High School.
She is survived by her husband Howard E. Statters, two daughters, Mrs. Lee (Judy) Boger, Waynesburg; Trudy at home; 2 sons, Loren and Larry at home. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Wayne (Noreeta) Martin, Manheim, Pa., and one brother Paul Duane Connor, Perry, Ohio.

Staggers - Friends of Aliff C. Staggers, 51, who died Monday, May 28, 1979, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mariner and Milliken Funeral Home, in Waynesburg. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Reverend Ralph W. Brownsfield officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Wind Ridge.”
