Obituary:
“Alfred M. Burch Of Elvins, Dies
Alfred M. Burch, well known Elvins resident, passed away in Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Thursday, May 8, 1958. He was born in Knob Lick, Mo., on December 14, 1885, a son of the late Perry and Emma Mund Burch, and at the time of death was aged 72 years 4 months 24 days.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Burch, three children: Viola (Mrs. Clifford) White of St. Louis; Edna (Mrs. Charles) Eads of Bonne Terre and Wayne Burch of Flat River. Also left to mourn his death are four grandchildren, six sisters: Maggie (Mrs. Edw.) Crawford, Minnie (Mrs. Walter) Doughty, Hala (Mrs. Elmer) Chatman [sic], Rose (Mrs. Edw.) Bales, Eleanor (Mrs. Andrew) Kassabaum and Wilma (Mrs. Elmer Thompson, and a brother, Wesley Burch, all of Farmington.
Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Elvins, conducted by the Rev. W. R. Hintze, pastor. Burial was in St. Francois Memorial Park, Caldwell Funeral Service.”
