“Sylvia S. Wise, 92, of Parkersburg, died Jan. 13, 2001, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 27, 1908, in Palestine, W.Va., a daughter of the late Okey and Eunice Corbett Cheuvront. She worked for O'Ames, Viscose and the Stewart Airport. She enjoyed camping and fishing, and was a member of the Edgelawn Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Carmen Queen and Janet Wise, both of Parkersburg, and Carolyn Guinn of Williamstown; two sons, Harold Grimm of Albion, Pa. and Vance Grimm of Parkersburg; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Wise, in 1994; two brothers; and three sisters.
Services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, Pastor Mike Lamb officiating. Burial in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today.”
