170Obituary from Funeral/Memory Card:
“Harry I. Staggers, aged 61 years, of Bristoria, died at 11:15 p. m. Monday, May 8, 1944, at his home. Death was due to heart trouble. He had been ill a few months.
Mr. Staggers was born August 18, 1882, in Jackson Township, near Bristoria, where he spent the most of his life. He was a son of the late James E. and Amanda McVay Staggers. In 1908 he married Blanche Smith, who survives. he was employed by the South Penn Oil Company, and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
Surviving besides his wife are four children, Mrs. helen hewitt, maidsville, W. Va.; R. L. Staggers, Waynesburg; John Staggers, Washington; Mrs. Margaret Kenner, Washington; six brothers and sisters, East Staggers, Mrs. Fannie Strosnider, Miss Susan Staggers, Mrs. Della Jones and Arthur Staggers, all of Holbrook, R. D.., and C. R. Staggers, of Graysville; and six grandchildren.”
