From her obituary:
“Mrs. Phoebe Hamilton Grim died at the old Grim homestead on Grim’s Run near Bearsville, Wednesday, December 9th, 1925, of paralysis from which she had been sick for some time. She was the second wife of Jesse Grim and was born December 3rd 1843 and was at her death 82 years and 6 days of age.
She is survived by her children, Mrs. C. M. Swan of Middlebourne, Mrs. George P. Myers of Alma, Mrs. Celia McDougal and John and Alpheus Grim of Grim’s Run by her second husband.
Mrs. Grim was twice married, her first husband was Lindsey McCollough who died many years ago and one daughter by this marriage, Mrs. Mary C. Duty, wife of E. T. Duty of Highland, WV survives her and also one sister, Elizabeth who lives in Illinois.
The deceased was the daughter of Benjamin and Polly Hamilton and was married to Jesse Grim December 9th 1866 who with one daughter preceded her in death a number of years ago. She was a life long member of the United Brethren Church at Bearsville.
The funeral services were held at the Fairview church, Thursday December 10th 1925 by R. W. Wallis of the Centerville U. B. Church and the interment at Fairview Cemetery by the side of her last husband.”57
